Chocolate-mocha cupcakes with cookie butter frosting

I tried cookie butter for the first time about a year ago and it's AMAZING! I decided to combine these two flavors together and make this delicious cupcake. I went to Trader Joe's after my final on Friday excited to get back into the kitchen and bake something, but when I got there I couldn't find the cookie butter :( I'm not very familiar with Trader Joe's, so after walking through every aisle I decided to ask someone. She ended up telling me that the warehouse ran out of them and none of the Trader Joe's have them anymore...that was a lie. I went to the one by my house today and found it, so here are the cupcakes :D

For the cupcakes, you can use pretty much any recipe. Chocolate or vanilla. I used my chocolate mocha recipe because it was the most moist and goes well with this frosting.
Cookie Butter Frosting:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup cookie butter
2-3 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbs milk

Directions: Cream butter and cookie butter until smooth. Add in powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk. Add more powdered sugar and milk till you get your desired consistency.

My first post

It's  spring break, so I decided to take advantage of this free time and finally start my own blog! I love to bake and do anything oven-related. I try to remember how all of this started and would love to share this cool story about how I got into baking, but I honestly don't know :( I just know it all started with out-of-the-box recipes and slowly started making everything from scratch. This blog is mainly for the desserts I make, but I may share some random things here and there. Enjoy :)
